Hampshire Gundog Society held its HPR Open FT on Wednesday 28 October 2026 at Upper Helmsley Sporting by kind permission of Sean and Victoria Chamberlain. The trial was kindly sponsored by Skinner’s and prize money was generously donated by Suzanna Mills.

We had a full card of Open dogs who showed some outstanding work over a mixture of crop fields, hedgerows and whitegrass.

Thank you to the guns (Sean Connor, Jonathan Gallant, Tim Pressey and Tristan Gale) who shot brilliantly giving the dogs every chance to fill their cards. I would also like to thank our picking up team of Gil Simpson and her Weimaraner, and our red flag carrier Jo Marsden. Without their support these days would not be possible.

Thank you to our Judges Phil Pearson (AP) and Dawn Elrington (BP) who gave the dogs every chance to fill their cards and were able to make the following awards Awards:
