Hampshire Gundog Society held their final working test of this season on 22nd July at Northington Grange . As ever many thanks to Lord Ashburton who every year allows us to use his ground .

 Huge thanks to the judges Jacky Simpson Dave England and Peter Castleman who stood and judged a big entry both morning and afternoon in the pouring rain . They did a splendid job and were really encouraging to the handlers for whom this was their first test .

 I was so incredibly grateful to all those who came and helped across the day . It’s impossible without the helpers to run a day . So huge thanks to Chloe Boardman Camilla Heyes Liz Barnes Liz Bridger Nigel Chandler Helen Hughes Helen Vidotto Helen Taylor Helen O’Brien Louise Spinks Christine Cox Donna Peplow Brian and Elizabeth West and Sarah Burnell . Hopefully I haven’t missed anyone out .

Thanks too to Nicky Cambrook who yet again did the catering for the judges and helpers . Her sausage rolls went down well again .

Joy is standing down as HGS chairman after a very long time in the role .
