On Saturday 13th July 2024 Hampshire Gundog Society held their final tests of this season.
The test took place at Fair Oak Estate, Rogate. Many thanks to the Fox -Andrews family for allowing us at short notice to use the ground. It’s a fabulous location. We had a mix of weather from lovely sunshine to some thunder and heavy rain in the afternoon thankfully not for too long.

I would to thank my wonderful judges Lisa Murrell Sam Davis and Paula Graystone. They judged fairly and consistently all day. Massive thanks to all my helpers who were brilliant. Huge thanks to Nicky Cambrook for some fabulous food yet again. Thank you to my fellow committee members Sarah Burnell, Donna Peplow and Liz Bridger who were busy all day doing different tasks.

I know we say this all the time but these events depend on the goodwill of those who step forward and give up their time so that others can enjoy a day of competition with their dogs and this includes those who give up their time to judge.

This was my last test as Working Test Secretary and I hand over to a new committee member Liz Bridger who has come forward to take over the role. I know she is going to do a fantastic job.
I’ve enjoyed my time as Working Test Secretary and would like to thank everyone who has come and helped and supported me in the role especially Joy Venturi -Rose and Chris Rose and Sarah Burnell who have been there at every test.
Although it is hard work, I would urge people to get on a committee and get involved. Even if that isn’t possible there are many ways you can support and be involved with your local club.
